Artifact Hour Earthy Ceramic Candle Holder

A ceramic candle holder that reads less like tableware and more like an object excavated from somewhere interesting. The form is a tapered cylinder rising from a wide, irregular flared base — proportions that feel archaic without quoting any specific period. What makes the surface worth looking at is the two-tone weathering effect: a ground of deep taupe-grey ceramic interrupted by irregular chalk-white passages that drift and pool toward the base, as though the piece has been worn by something slower than hands. A fitted dark metal collar at the rim accepts a standard taper candle and keeps the whole arrangement stable. Photographed in near-darkness with candlelight as the primary light source, the holder becomes part of a quiet scene — dark espresso wood, a shallow ceramic tray, the suggestion of other objects just out of focus. The piece earns its place on a surface without asking for attention.
