Suspended Drop Amber Glass Oil Cruet

A bottle suspended inside a bottle — that is the structural logic of this glass oil cruet by Ichendorf Milano. The outer wall is a clean cylinder of clear glass; nested within it, a separate bulbous inner chamber swells into an egg-like form that appears to float, untethered, in the air gap between the two layers. A slender curved glass spout rises from the inner vessel through the outer lid, completing the architecture. The result sits on a kitchen counter the way a specimen sits in a vitrine: entirely legible, vaguely inexplicable, quietly riveting. Available in sage green, soft grey, warm amber, and pale pink in two sizes — 150 ml (15 cm tall) and 250 ml (19 cm tall) — the colored inner chamber shifts tone depending on what liquid fills it, turning olive oil into a glowing amber orb or vinegar into something closer to a science exhibit. The outer cylinder keeps the inner bottle clean and shielded, while the curved glass spout channels liquid in a thin, controlled stream without dripping. The glass itself is described in product materials as borosilicate-type, thin-walled, and highly transparent — a clarity that holds regardless of age or repeated washing.
