Curious Cat Clear Borosilicate Glass Mug

A borosilicate glass cup that doubles as a miniature diorama. Each piece from this collection places a sculpted animal figure — a pink fish suspended mid-water, a white cat perched at the handle junction, a golden tabby curled at the base — inside or upon a cylindrical clear vessel, so the object reads simultaneously as drinkware and as a small, self-contained tableau. The glass body is thin-walled and optically clear; when filled with liquid, the refractive index of the water interacts with the sculpted figure to produce a subtle magnification effect, making the animal appear to shift and enlarge as the liquid level changes. The collection spans a handled mug with a smoky blue-grey arch handle, an open tumbler in multiple cat character variants, a tall bottle with a cat-on-planet stopper figure, and a pitcher with a metal-and-wood lever handle. Each animal figure is rendered in opaque or translucent colored glass with legible facial detail — the cat's amber eyes and pointed ears are resolved clearly even at the small scale. The figures are mounted on a clear glass stem that rises from the base interior, holding the sculpture upright while appearing nearly invisible against the vessel wall. The overall effect is somewhere between a snow globe and a specimen jar: something you place on a desk and find yourself looking at long after the drink is finished.
