Forest Spore Ivory Alabaster Stone Table Lamp

A stone table lamp carved into the silhouette of a mushroom — cap arcing wide and smooth over a rounded, bulbous stem — that functions equally as a sculptural object and a light source. The lamp is carved from alabaster, a stone translucent enough that an internal bulb transforms the entire form into a self-luminous object: veins, cloud formations, and tonal gradients within the stone become visible only when lit, turning the lamp's surface into a shifting interior landscape. Unlit, the alabaster reads as a pale, matte cream-white specimen with a quietly irregular surface texture — faint crystalline grain, subtle tonal shifts between warm ivory and cool grey-white — that rewards close inspection. Two silhouette variants are available: the mushroom form, with its domed cap and organic stem proportions drawn directly from nature, and a geometric form, where the cap becomes a truncated cone with clean angular edges while the cylindrical base remains. Both variants share the same alabaster material and the same internal illumination behavior; the choice between them is a choice between organic softness and restrained geometry. At desk scale, the lamp reads as an autonomous sculptural presence — something between a specimen pulled from a forest floor and a minimalist design object — that holds its own on a shelf beside books, beside a potted plant, or alone on a dark wood surface.
