Little Theater Clear Glass Cup

A glass that doubles as a miniature terrarium. Each vessel in this Ichendorf Milano collection is built around a 3D figurine — a colored glass letter blooming with a flower cluster, or a small creature perched at the base — that appears to float inside the transparent body once liquid is poured in. The cylindrical and gently tapered forms are clear throughout, letting the saturated green, violet, amber, and pink figurines read as the sole color event. The lineup spans alphabet variants (A through E, L, O, V and the full L-O-V-E set) and a menagerie of animal characters — rabbit, squirrel, snail, turtle, duck, hedgehog — each rendered in a distinct color that references natural pigment rather than graphic convention. A separate Greenwood series replaces figurines with botanical motifs painted in a similar three-dimensional register: grass blades, hydrangea clusters, single leaves, and a pitcher with an orange-lacquered angular handle. The rolled rim sits smooth against the lip; the footed base on some variants gives the cup a slight elevation that emphasizes the figurine below as if on a plinth. These are objects that reward a second look after the first sip.
