Shadow Play Black Ceramic Candle Holder

Three sculptural candle holders — each a distinct gesture frozen in matte obsidian black. The perforated three-arm piece rises as an angular, almost totemic silhouette: two interlocking geometric panels punctured by circular voids, their tapered arms splaying outward at asymmetric heights, each tipped with a wide saucer cradle that cups a sphere candle like a planet balanced at the edge of something. The serpentine taper holder coils upward from a weighted disc base, its rod tracing a loose figure-eight loop before rising straight to a small drip collar — the shape of a line that changed its mind twice before arriving somewhere worth arriving. The wall-mounted sconce is a different proposition entirely: a flat triangular panel with a rippling wave-relief surface, pinned flush against plaster, from which a scrolled cone cup juts forward to grip a taper candle. Each form reads as sculpture first, candleholder second. Photographed against warm khaki-plaster walls under ambient interior light, the pieces cast soft diagonal shadows that become part of the composition.
