ichendorf-milano-nature-collection-vq232b6y
Aviary Study Clear Glass Cup

Description

A clear borosilicate glass cup and pitcher collection where the handle is also the subject. Each piece carries a miniature three-dimensional glass figure — a red-crested parrot perched at the rim, a branching tree canopy rendered in translucent green, a geometric cactus arm jutting outward, a hovering hummingbird suspended mid-flight — fused directly into the glass structure. The body is cylindrical and optically clear, thin-walled enough that liquid inside creates a refracting lens around the figure within. The colored glass elements — amber branch, cobalt-and-red bird, sage-green foliage — read as saturated accents against the near-invisible vessel body. Fill the cup with water and the internal figure appears to enlarge and shift plane, making the object behave differently every time it is used. Available in multiple motifs: parrot, cactus, tree, hummingbird, blue bird, and purple bird.

Inspiration

A glass pitcher that comes with its own resident parrot.

These borosilicate pieces swap standard handles for colorful glass-like sculptures of birds, cacti, and trees that look like they’ve just landed on the rim.

The transparent walls make the vibrant parrots and green leaves appear to float in mid-air, turning a simple serving of water or iced tea into a small, bright scene for the table.

Highlights

Cylindrical borosilicate glass body with a sculpted three-dimensional glass figure integrated into the handle structure — parrot, tree, cactus, hummingbird, blue bird, and purple bird variants available

The transparent glass column suspending the figure becomes nearly invisible against the clear vessel wall, creating the visual effect of the animal or plant floating inside the drink

When liquid is poured in, the refractive properties of the glass magnify and shift the internal figure, producing a different optical result depending on fill level

Borosilicate glass construction offers resistance to thermal expansion; the material is rated for use between 0°C and 100°C as shown in product imagery

Colored glass elements — amber, cobalt, red, green — are formed from the glass itself rather than applied surface coatings, so the color is structural and permanent

The collection functions as a coordinated set: the pitcher and tumblers share the same figure vocabulary and can be grouped as a tableau on a table or shelf

Notices

Glass is fragile; handle with care and avoid impact against hard surfaces. The three-dimensional handle figures are structural glass elements and should not be used as grip points. Not intended for children. Variants are sold separately; check listing for the specific motif included.
