The NFT is ***not*** the artwork itself. It’s a piece of code that includes metadata of where to find the artwork, who owns it, and the value of the artwork. It also provides proof of ownership. On top of that, NFTs can be interacted with and viewed in ways that transcend the capabilities of traditional media.

What are the benefits of collecting NFT artworks?

They will generally appear as the following:
* Image: JPEG or PNG files
* Animation: MP4, MOV, etc
* Programs: Javascript, HTML, etc

What formats do NFTs come in?

Follow artists you like on Twitter, join Discord chats about interesting projects, and ask questions. But what really helps the most is to mint your own NFT. Going through the entire process, step by step, and becoming more experienced and immersed in the NFT world will help you to not only understand it, but take an active role in it as well.

* Usually, for the primary sale, TRLab will work together with the artist to decide on pricing. However, the artist retains the right to make the final decision.
* The future value depends on the market, and is not controlled by centralized institutions.

What is the standard pricing of NFTs on TRLab?

Both – artworks can be unique or have editions. TRLab collaborates with each artist to determine the number of editions per drop.

Do NFTs on TRLab have editions or are they unique?

Do I need to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) before collecting?

Click "Connect wallet" in the menu on our site. If you purchased your NFT by clicking "Buy Now", you will see your NFT in your wallet automatically. If you won an auction, you must click "Claim Your NFT" to get your NFT into your wallet.

Once I’ve purchased NFTs, how do I get them?

All of your artworks will automatically be added to your wallet. You can view them in your profile as well.

How do I see my entire NFT collection?

Your NFTs are stored in your digital wallet.

Where are NFTs stored?

Yes, and yes. You can transfer directly via crypto wallets – but you may incur gas and other fees.

Can I transfer my NFTs to someone else? Are there fees for doing so?

They are as safe as your crypto wallet. Use a strong Mnemonic Phrase and Private Key, and never share either with anyone else. You may also consider using a hardware wallet for enhanced protection.

Are my NFTs safe and secure?

Perpetual royalties for artists and institutions are standard for crypto art. The 10% fee ensures that the artists we work with are fairly compensated when their work changes hands.

TRLab currently offers two ways to purchase an NFT – through an auction or immediate public sale. Connect your digital wallet and reserve enough gas fees before purchasing.

How do I purchase an NFT?

TRLab is a decentralized platform (Dapp), meaning payments are all controlled by Smart Contracts. Because of this, we can only accept cryptocurrencies.

Why do I have to use a crypto wallet to purchase an NFT instead of another form of payment?

Yes, we only accept cryptocurrency. Please follow local rules and regulations regarding purchasing cryptocurrency.

Do I have to have cryptocurrency to purchase an NFT from TRLab?

Whitelist Access is early access to purchase, designed to reward the most dedicated of our community and supporters. You can get access by winning our raffle, unlocking a secret code from the artist’s Twitter or during an AMA, or by becoming a collector.

What is Whitelist Access and how do I get it?

* Our entire platform operates on the time of the Ethereum block, which is in turn operated by Smart Contract on-chain – not real o'clock time. Sales will only begin when the latest block time of ETH reaches the sale start time.
* The block time of the blockchain is uncertain because it changes, but the current average block time is about 13 seconds. After the countdown, the artwork page on our site will automatically update. Regardless of how long it takes to wait for the next block, it is the same and fair to every collector. Why do you use "block time" for the countdown to sales and time to mint?

Yes. You may need to pay a gas fee on top of the fixed sale price. While paying gas fees is a standard part of the transaction in the NFT community, we are aiming to improve the experience and ensure that we are more transparent about the fees associated with collecting NFTs via TRLab in the future.

Are there additional fees for purchasing an NFT?

The gas fee is a transaction fee for using Ethereum. It’s paid in Ether and varies depending on the current demand on the blockchain, meaning it may be higher during peak hours (similar to ride-sharing services).

Why is there a gas fee?

* If an artwork is up for auction, collectors can place an unlimited number of bids on it, and the highest bidder will win. Further rules and stipulations for bidding can be found on our website prior to each auction. * For a public sale, prices are set prior to the start of the sale. Collectors may instantly purchase an NFT during early access, or when the sale becomes available to the general public. Due to the limited nature of the artworks, these NFTs are sold on a first come, first served basis.

What is the difference between an auction and public sale?

* By clicking "Buy Now" you’ve triggered your digital wallet to proceed with the transaction. After confirmation on your digital wallet, the transaction will be submitted to the Ethereum network.
* Since the execution of Ethereum Smart Contracts is completely decentralized, your transaction might not be successful due to traffic on the Ethereum network or the set gas tip being too low. We recommend adding gas tips to increase your chance of getting the artwork. If your transaction is unsuccessful, you can resubmit your transaction as long as the artwork is not sold out.
