The body is clear borosilicate glass—thin-walled, light-transmitting, almost invisible when empty—and the handle is where the object reveals its character: a red chili pepper, a tapered carrot with bright green leaf tips, a miniature artichoke rendered in deep green. The figurative element is fully three-dimensional, formed in colored glass and fused to a slender clear rod that connects top and bottom of the handle bracket. Fill the mug and the colored figure appears to float inside your drink, magnified and distorted by the water and the curve of the glass wall. The ribbed teapot variant extends the logic further: vertical fluting catches and refracts light across its domed body, while a frosted white rabbit sits atop the lid as a finial and a carrot handle mirrors the mug's. These are objects that treat the handle—typically the most ignored element of a cup—as the entire point.

Inspiration

These borosilicate glasses replace standard handles with vibrant, sculptural vegetables.

By turning a chili pepper or a carrot into a functional grip, the design shifts from a simple kitchen staple to a witty conversation piece. The heat-resistant glass remains perfectly clear, letting the saturated colors of the glass produce stand out against your tea or coffee.

A tiny white rabbit sits atop the ribbed teapot lid, watching over the brew while you pour. It is a playful way to serve morning juice or herbal tea, turning a routine kitchen moment into a small, curated performance.

Highlights

Borosilicate glass construction resists thermal shock across a temperature range of 0 to 100 degrees Celsius, making the mug viable for both hot and cold drinks without risk of cracking

The figurative handle element—chili pepper, carrot, artichoke, cherry, or rabbit depending on variant—is formed in solid colored glass and fused to a clear glass rod; the color is integral to the glass itself rather than applied as a coating or dye, so it will not fade or transfer

When liquid is added, the refraction between the glass wall and the fluid magnifies and warps the sculptural handle figure, turning a static object into something that shifts with each fill

The teapot lid bears a frosted white rabbit finial that functions as a pull; the body is vertically ribbed, creating a lantern-like play of light and shadow across the surface

Borosilicate is notably lighter and thinner-walled than standard soda-lime glass at equivalent capacity, giving the mug a featherweight quality in the hand

Available in multiple figurative handle variants—chili pepper in red and green, carrot in amber and green, artichoke in deep green—allowing the collection to be mixed across a table setting

Notices

Glass is inherently fragile; handle with appropriate care. The figurative handle element is solid glass and structurally sound under normal use but should not be used to strike or pry. Avoid sudden extreme temperature changes beyond the stated range. Not suitable for use in a microwave or conventional oven. Clean gently; the clear glass rod connecting the handle figure to the cup body is slender and should not bear lateral force during washing. Color variants visible in images include chili pepper and carrot for the mug, and carrot for the teapot; confirm specific variant availability at point of purchase. Matching glass stirring spoons in vegetable and fruit motifs are shown in product images and may be sold separately.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0870/0028/5459/files/sku_ichendorf-vegetable-themed-drinkware-03j51te0_01_63e6503c-ca29-4db7-ad23-d62d00cd3287.webp?v=1791804950
