animal-base-glass-bowl-b54q44s4
Glass Menagerie Clear and Tinted Glass Dessert Bowl

Description

A clear borosilicate glass dessert bowl balanced on a sculpted animal figure — turtle, hedgehog, rabbit, or coral — that reads simultaneously as functional pedestal and miniature glass sculpture. The bowl itself is thin-walled and high-clarity, with a gently rolled rim and a wide, open mouth suited to fruit, desserts, or cold drinks. The animal base is rendered in saturated translucent color — amber, forest green, dusty violet, blush pink, opaque white — and when liquid is added, the refraction of water through the clear stem causes the figure beneath to appear magnified and optically distorted, as though it is suspended inside the bowl rather than beneath it. Seven colorways are available: green turtle, amber turtle, purple hedgehog, amber hedgehog, pink rabbit, white rabbit, and blue coral. The glass is rated for temperatures between 0°C and 100°C and is noted as suitable for refrigerator storage. Not for oven use.

Inspiration

Your fruit salad is currently being carried by a very small glass hedgehog.

These borosilicate pieces replace the traditional stem with a sculptural animal pedestal, turning a simple table setting into a small, colorful menagerie. It is a playful way to serve a scoop of gelato or a handful of seasonal berries.

The contrast between the clear glass and the saturated colors of the amber turtles or pink rabbits makes each piece feel like a found object. They work just as well for jewelry on a nightstand as they do for chocolate mousse at dinner.

Highlights

Borosilicate glass construction — thin-walled, high-clarity bowl with a smooth rolled rim that sits atop a three-dimensional animal-form pedestal in saturated translucent or opaque colored glass

Seven distinct colorways available: green turtle, amber turtle, purple hedgehog, amber hedgehog, pink rabbit, white rabbit, and blue coral — each animal figure rendered with sculptural detail including quill texture on the hedgehog and ear silhouette on the rabbit

Optical refraction effect: when liquid is poured into the bowl, the water and glass layers combine to visually magnify the animal figure below, making it appear to float inside the vessel

Solid glass construction throughout — the animal base and bowl stem are fused as a single contiguous form rather than assembled from separate bonded parts, contributing to structural stability

Temperature range 0°C to 100°C; suitable for refrigerator use; not suitable for oven use

Notices

Not suitable for oven use.
